WAKE UP, AMERICA!

A few days ago, another executive order was signed by our president... this one allowing government seizure of ALL resources: water resources; all material services and facilities, including construction materials; power over all forms of civilian transportation; power over food resources and facilities, livestock plant health resources, and the domestic distribution of farm equipment; all health resources; and over all forms of energy. 

Here's the kicker - the Order (and yes, I read the full order on the White House website) says that it can be imposed in times of war OR in peacetime. WHICH MEANS AT ANY TIME THE PRESIDENT SO CHOOSES. Think about it!!!

Oh wait, there is more... There are also provisions in it that allow for tor FORCED LABOR and FORCED MILITRY SERVICE if it is deemed necessary for our national defense. Very loosely worded, I might add.

This Nation is in trouble. We have a White House administration that is out of control. Never in our history has a president been allowed so much liberty to rule by EXECUTIVE ORDERS and EXECUTIVE APPOINTMENTS, bypassing congress and ignoring our country's methods of checks and balances - which were put in place to AVOID one branch having more power than the others. This is no time to be silent, or to sit on your hands and do nothing! It is time to act!  

Executive orders are nothing new, but considering the circumstances - namely a president who is systematically turning our democracy into a socialist state - we are in danger of losing America altogether! Be informed! Take a minute to read this, and research other matters of state. Don't just accept what you hear and go on about your business... if you don't start caring, you will be living in a third-world country, wondering what happened to the free country you were born in!!!

What can you do, you ask? Write or call your Senators and Congressmen! They are YOUR representatives, so tell them what matters to YOU. You don't have time? REALLY? You'd better make time, friend! Because your freedom is at stake.

The following is a summary of what executive orders are already in place, and the dangers they pose to this country. Read on....

THE EXECUTIVE ORDER

Many of the fears of the founding fathers may now be coming to fruition. Today, the executive branch of the government is immensely powerful, much more powerful than the founding fathers had envisioned or wanted. Congressional legislative powers have been usurped. There is no greater example of that usurpation than in the form of the Presidential Executive Order. The process totally by-passes Congressional legislative authority and places in the hands of the President almost unilateral power. The Executive Order governs everything from the Flag Code of the United States to the ability to single-handedly declare Martial Law. Presidents have used the Executive Order in times of emergencies to override the Constitution of the United States and the Congress. 

Here are just a few Executive Orders that would suspend the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. These Executive Orders have been on record for nearly 30 years and could be enacted by the stroke of a Presidential pen:

■EXECUTIVE ORDER 10990 allows the government to take over all modes of transportation and control of highways and seaports. 

■EXECUTIVE ORDER 10995 allows the government to seize and control the communication media.

■EXECUTIVE ORDER 10997 allows the government to take over all electrical power, gas, petroleum, fuels and minerals.

■EXECUTIVE ORDER 10998 allows the government to take over all food resources and farms.

■EXECUTIVE ORDER 11000 allows the government to mobilize civilians into work brigades under government supervision.

■EXECUTIVE ORDER 11001 allows the government to take over all health, education and welfare functions.

■EXECUTIVE ORDER 11002 designates the Postmaster General to operate a national registration of all persons.

■EXECUTIVE ORDER 11003 allows the government to take over all airports and aircraft, including commercial aircraft.

■EXECUTIVE ORDER 11004 allows the Housing and Finance Authority to relocate communities, build new housing with public funds, designate areas to be abandoned, and establish new locations for populations.

■EXECUTIVE ORDER 11005 allows the government to take over railroads, inland waterways and public storage facilities.

■EXECUTIVE ORDER 11051 specifies the responsibility of the Office of Emergency Planning and gives authorization to put all Executive Orders into effect in times of increased international tensions and economic or financial crisis.

■EXECUTIVE ORDER 11310 grants authority to the Department of Justice to enforce the plans set out in Executive Orders, to institute industrial support, to establish judicial and legislative liaison, to control all aliens, to operate penal and correctional institutions, and to advise and assist the President. 

Here are the later Executive Orders: 

• EXECUTIVE ORDER 11049 assigns emergency preparedness function to federal departments and agencies, consolidating 21 operative Executive Orders issued over a fifteen year period. 
• EXECUTIVE ORDER 11921 allows the Federal Emergency Preparedness Agency to develop plans to establish control over the mechanisms of production and distribution, of energy sources, wages, salaries, credit and the flow of money in U.S. financial institution in any undefined national emergency. It also provides that when a state of emergency is declared by the President, Congress cannot review the action for six months. 
• EXECUTIVE ORDER 12148 created the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) that is to interface with the Department of Defense for civil defense planning and funding. An "emergency czar" was appointed. FEMA has only spent about 6 percent of its budget on national emergencies, the bulk of their funding has been used for the construction of secret underground facilities to assure continuity of government in case of a major emergency, foreign or domestic. 
• EXECUTIVE ORDER 12656 appointed the National Security Council as the principal body that should consider emergency powers. This allows the government to increase domestic intelligence and surveillance of U.S. citizens and would restrict the freedom of movement within the United States and granted the government the right to isolate large groups of civilians. The National Guard could be federalized to seal all borders and take control of U.S. air space and all ports of entry. 

THE NEW DANGERS 

A Presidential Executive Order, whether Constitutional or not, becomes law simply by its publication in the Federal Registry. Congress is by-passed. Without Congressional approval, the President now has the power to transfer whole populations to any part of the country, the power to suspend the Press and to force a national registration of all persons. The President, in essence, has dictatorial powers never provided to him under the Constitution. The President has the power to suspend the Constitution and the Bill of Rights in a real or perceived emergency. Unlike Lincoln and Roosevelt, these powers are not derived from a wartime need, but from any crisis, domestic or foreign, hostile or economic. Roosevelt created extraordinary measures during the Great Depression, but any President faced with a similar, or lesser, economic crisis now has extraordinary powers to assume DICTATORIAL STATUS. 

Many of the Executive Orders cited here have been on the books for over a quarter of a century and have not been applied. Therefore, what makes them more dangerous today than yesteryear? There has been a steady, consistent series of new Executive Orders, originating from President Richard Nixon and added to by Presidents Ronald Reagan, Jimmy Carter, George Bush and Barack Obama... and frankly, the most recent orders are so very loosely written as to envelope a very broad scope of powers - powers that the president would be given all at the stroke of a pen. It has been intentional, and taken some time, but our governement is in a perfect position to remove all traces of freedom from the people.

This cannot be allowed. TIME TO MAKE A STAND!!!

Face Value

I'm starting to think this country has gone mad. Everything that we were founded on, every principle and belief, is under attack and we stand by doing nothing and are getting sucked right into it. We are killing our babies and ignoring our elderly, ruining our teens and dumbing up our children. We look out for 'number one' and to heck with the rest. In the world of politics 'slick' has somehow become synonymous with 'smart' when it used to mean 'snake.' Just because someone is eloquent in their speech does not make them 'right' and just because someone stumbles over their words or makes an occasional blunder doesn't make them 'wrong.' In fact, I would much rather have a rough-around-the-edges leader that still has core values than a word smith who's primary goal is to turn America into a socialist state. We ARE a great nation and it's about time we start acting like it. Use your voices and DO YOUR HOMEWORK.

Politics 101: Many people I talk to have NO IDEA what many of the new agencies that have been (illegally) created over the last few years are capable of doing... or the hidden agenda contained within them. Oh, they are shiny on the outside, but inside they are a means to an evil end. You will never find an agency or policy that is advertised, "Hey, this new agency has been created so that we can jail your pastors for preaching out of the Bible against homosexuality... isn't that great???" No, they will tell you, "We will not tolerate the violation of civil rights any longer. In the spirit of Martin Luther King Jr. we will march against injustice to bring about a society where every citizen has an equal right to be who they are without fear of retribution!!" - and the crowd goes wild. What was SAID is not what you THINK was said.

Put anything in a pretty package and the people want to buy it... but things are not always what they seem. For instance - 'separation of Church and State.' (Originally meant to keep the state out of the church, by the way.) How is it separation when the State dictates to the Church when and where they can and cannot speak of their faith? Don't pray in school, don't speak of anything political in Church, don't mention the name of Jesus if you are an Army chaplain... etc... or we will ___________. What? What will you do, government? Take my tax exempt status? Kick me out of school? Throw me in the brig? What are we afraid of??!!! The government is like a little rebellious child who pushes and pushes the boundaries, gaining a little more ground with each fit they throw. Where is our limit? If they throw an Army chaplain in prison for praying in the name of Jesus will you say something then? What will it take? Your pastor being thrown in jail for reading from Romans Chapter 1? Will you do something then? 

Instead, we stay silent. We sigh and say, "Well, that's just not right... but what can I really do about it?" I'll tell you what you can do -

(1) Care. You can make it your business to know what is going on INSIDE the issues and quit taking everything that certain well-spoken politicians say at FACE VALUE. You are being methodically stripped of your rights and you don't even know it. 

(2) Pray. You can exercise your right to pray and be open about your faith. And if Johnny or Suzie can wear a Metallica T-shirt, you can wear one with the Ten Commandments on it. Mr. Chaplain - go ahead and pray in Jesus name... there are still enough Christians left in this country who would demand your release if they threw you in the brig. Pastor - go ahead and preach the Word... if you don't then the only thing you will have to look forward to is a career as a motivational speaker. 

(3) Vote. We still have that right and if you don't use it, you just might lose it.
